Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Osina collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our calorie-tracking mobile application and related services.
Information we collect
We collect account details such as your name, email address, authentication provider identifier, and profile image. If you choose to provide them, we also process age, height, weight, gender, activity level, goals, meals, exercise, calorie targets, and meal photos.
With your permission, Osina may read selected health and activity information from Apple Health or Android Health Connect. Your device and those platforms control permission. We also receive app diagnostics, usage events, device information, push-notification tokens, and subscription status.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate you, maintain your profile and food log, estimate meal calories, calculate goals and progress, provide health and notification features, manage subscriptions, prevent abuse, troubleshoot the service, and improve Osina.
AI meal analysis
When you request meal-photo analysis, the image and necessary request data are transmitted to service providers that host the image and generate the estimate. AI-generated nutrition information can be inaccurate and should be reviewed before you rely on it.
Service providers and sharing
We share only what is needed with vendors that support authentication, cloud hosting and database operations, image storage, AI processing, product analytics, push notifications, and subscription processing. Purchases are processed by Apple or Google and subscription status is managed through RevenueCat. We may also disclose information to comply with law, protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer.
We do not sell personal information or use health information for targeted advertising.
Retention and security
We retain information while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent fraud. We use administrative and technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You can change health, photo, camera, and notification permissions in device settings. You can manage subscriptions in the applicable app store. You may delete your Osina account from Settings; this removes active account data, subject to limited backup, security, fraud-prevention, and legal retention requirements.
Children
Osina is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy and will revise the date above. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to thejuniorrepublicgroup@gmail.com.
